MERRIAM, KS—August 16, 2013—IBT Industrial Solutions announced that it has awarded the Forrest L. Cloud Service Award for Q3 of 2013 to Rob Walker. Walker is an inside salesperson servicing customers at the IBT Wichita branch.
Walker was selected from the inside sales staff at all 40 IBT branches for his exceptional customer service, company loyalty, and relationships with customers.
“We’re very committed to recognizing excellence in our employees,” said Stephen Cloud, IBT’s Chairman of the Board, and son of founder (and award namesake) Forrest Cloud. “We like to give them the honors they are due.”
Long History of Exceptional Customer Service
IBT initiated the award in April 2012 to help reinforce IBT’s focus on excellent customer service. The first winner was Chuck Cook, from the IBT branch in Salina, Kansas.
“Customer service is at the core of our company,” said Kevin Cloud, Director of Organizational Development, and grandson of the founder. “We choose one person who lives out that value to an outstanding degree.”
The award is named after Forrest L. Cloud, who founded the company in 1949. “When Forrest started the company, his goal was to provide outstanding customer service,” Kevin Cloud said. “This is still a part of our culture today, and still differentiates us in the marketplace.”
