Need to repair cracks in your concrete—fast? Rust-Oleum’s new InstaPatchTM Ultra-Rapid Curing Concrete Repair fixes damaged concrete floors in as little as 15 minutes. Just mix it, pour it, and let it dry.
Launched in early 2014, the new Rust-Oleum InstaPatch is already a hit with Rust-Oleum’s customers, selling in a convenient 1-gallon kit.
Where to Use Rust-Oleum InstaPatch
InstaPatch can be used indoors or outdoors—anywhere you have cracks or small holes in your concrete floors. It can be applied in temperatures as low as -5°F.
Because it has very low odor, it is ideal for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, storage areas and more. That also makes it perfect for freezers and coolers, Voorhees added.
“This product works well anywhere, but especially in areas with heavy foot traffic or forklift traffic,” Voorhees said. “Forklifts can cause a lot of damage to concrete over time.”
How It Works
InstaPatch is a 2-component polyurea patch material that is designed to fill the cracks in concrete. The versatile formula can be poured or applied with a trowel, and has an easy-to-use 1:1 mix ratio.
When the color turns from black to gray, it’s ready for foot and vehicle traffic.
5 Quick Steps
To prepare InstaPatch, simply do the following:
- Smooth down crack with hand grinder.
- Shake each can for 10 seconds.
- Mix two components for 30 seconds.
- Pour into crack (slightly overfill).
- Let dry 15 minutes.
When it turns gray, it’s ready for vehicle traffic. For a smoother look, grind the area afterward.
For larger holes, Voorhees recommends Rust-Oleum’s TurboKrete.
