Buck O'Neil's Life Featured on IBT Media DVD

The long, well-lived life of Buck O'Neil, sportsman, gentleman and outstanding citizen of Kansas City and the world, came to an end in October, 2006. Mr. O'Neil died one month short of his 95th birthday.

His charm, insight and wisdom covered a broad range of topics and, in 1999, in wide-ranging interviews with IBT Media, Buck shared his intelligence, philosophy and humanity.

Mr. Kansas City: The Life of Buck O'Neil Originally conceived as a pilot for a possible localized cable series, the O'Neil interview and biography, a photo gallery and more enlightening comments from Buck have been collected in a two-hour long DVD.

Titled Mr. Kansas City: The Life of Buck O'Neil, the DVD can be ordered through Amazon.com or the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

Mr. Buck O'Neil was one of a kind. As a player and manager of the Kansas City Monarchs, he won championships and batting titles. As a major league scout, he discovered future Hall of Famers. He was the first African-American to coach in the major leagues. And, when discovered in his eighties by Ken Burns, he became the most memorable presence in the documentary Baseball. Most importantly, he was a tireless advocate of civility, tolerance and love.

The style, energy and unique personality of Buck were well-captured by IBT Media, and can be yours for all time. Pricing for the video Mr. Kansas City: The Life of Buck O'Neil, is under $ 30.00. This DVD is the only video biography of Buck O'Neil's extraordinary life.
