IBT Vendors Score High With Customers

In April, 2006, Control Engineering magazine reported on a large scale survey of its readers. The survey's purpose was to weigh user satisfaction with specific product categories the readers had regular and significant contact with.

More than 1,300 readers responded. Vendors were ranked based on overall satisfaction with a product.

Overall satisfaction was derived from response to survey questions dealing with:

Ease of installation and setup
Quality of documentation and factory calibration
Product availability and performance
Price and value for the dollar
Product upgrades and legacy system support
Vendor web site resources, usefulness and understanding of customer needs

The survey also asked about likeliness to purchase from a vendor again and willingness to stick with a preferred vendor, despite corporate wishes to change to a different manufacturer.

In two main categories, AC Adjustable Speed Drives and AC Motors, vendors selling through IBT (see vendors in bold) scored extremely well.
