For the IRL Indy Car Series, Team Timken will come well represented by Rahal Letterman Racing, co-owned Motorsports Hall of Fame racer Bobby Rahal and CBS "Late Show" host David Letterman. Indy Car drivers include: 2005 IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year Danica Patrick, Graham Rahal, Paul Dana and 2004 Indy 500 champion Buddy Rice.
This year, Danica has started four races and finished eighth in every one. She qualified for tenth position at Indianapolis, with a speed of 224.674 mph. Running as high as fifth position in what was the second closest Indianapolis 500 finish, her top lap speed during the race was 217 + mph.
She took home $ 285,805 for her finish. Total winnings, year to date are $ 487,400 – picking up $ 47,400 at Watkins Glen on Sunday, June 4.
