Microban protection inhibits the growth of microorganisms through an electrochemical mode of action. This penetrates and disrupts the cell walls. Upon cell wall penetration, leakage of essential metabolites occurs, and other key cell functions are disrupted. These cells are then unable to reproduce, inhibiting the growth of undesirable microorganisms. The result: fewer bacteria to worry about.

The Microban ingredient helps Fortress hose take in-plant cleaning to a whole new level. Microban protection inhibits the growth of microorganisms on the hose cover, and it's engineered to last the life of the hose.
