School Days at IBT
Enroll in the April 2006 Customer Academy
An intensive two-and-a-half day session of training for customers will be held at IBT starting Monday, April 10, 2006.
The IBT Customer Academy concentrates on bearings, lubrication, gearing and drives. Sessions include classroom presentations, demonstrations, hands-on experience and video training.
An IBT tradition for over thirty years, the Academy has trained hundreds of maintenance, plant engineering, purchasing and storeroom workers from a wide range of industries.
In addition to IBT personnel, instructors are drawn from expert representatives of leading product manufacturers. The result is a thorough, balanced, broad and deep exposure to the mechanical technologies needed to maintain equipment and assure productivity.
The Curriculum:
Bearings
Identification of bearings, types per application, installation, dismounting, preventive and predictive maintenance and tools.
Lubrication
How to properly select the right type of lubrication; determine the proper amount; and know how and when to lubricate and/or change lubricants.
Gearing
Basic understanding of different types of gearing and the advantages for use in specific applications. How to maintain and repair gears and gearing.
Drives
Understanding and using V-belts, roller chain and couplings. Matching different types to applications. How to install and maintain drives systems.
Sessions begin Monday, April 10 and end on April 12. Class will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. Classes will end on Wednesday at 12 noon. .Lunch will be provided.
Tuition for the IBT Customer Academy is $ 275.00. The deadline for registration is Monday April 3, 2006.
