Polishing the Stainless
You can take your stainless surfaces from rough finish to mirror finish in three simple steps
Using Walter’s QUICK-STEP™ metal surface finishing system, available through IBT, will allow you to transform stainless steel – as well as a wide variety of other metals – from a rough surface to a mirror finish using an air-powered or electric buffer or grinder.
QUICK-STEP uses a hook and loop system for quick disc changes. The product is offered in 40, 60, 80 or 120 grit segmented flap discs; extra coarse, coarse, medium, fine or super fine BLENDEX™ conditioning discs. They also have felt polishing discs, used with a superior polishing compound, to achieve the mirrored finish you desire.
The versatility of the system is further enhanced with a wide selection of DECO™ or POLI-QUICK™ dry polishing and surface finishing discs, which allow you to match or produce perfect matte finishes on stainless steel effortlessly. You can even match a difficult #2 mill finish with one disc.
