New, Improved, Guaranteed: Goodyear Falcon Pd™ Synchronous Belts
Introducing Goodyear Falcon Pd Synchronous belts, ready to go as drop-in replacements for Gates Poly Chain GT2 Polyurethane Belts*. Designed to be an exact fit for Poly Chain sprockets, Falcon Pd high performance belts are several ways better.
Falcon belts offer premium performance. They have excellent tensile strength. Made out of rubber (not polyurethane), they resist flex fatigue and deliver longer life.
The rubber construction also allows for applications that require backside idlers.
Field tests indicate that they run quieter, too. In one such test, Falcon consistently produced less noise (up to 4 dB less) than the comparable Gates product.
Goodyear will operate efficiently and reliably over a wide range of operating temperatures (-70° to 185° F, -57° to 85° C).
Offered in a variety of lengths and widths, in both 8 mm and 14 mm pitch size, the correct Goodyear Falcon SKU is easy to find. If the Gates belt number is 8MGT-640-21, the Goodyear replacement SKU will be 8GTR-640-21. In this numbering system, the first digit is pitch (either 8 mm or 14 mm). The alpha cluster indicates manufacturer. GTR equals Goodyear Tire and Rubber. The second number cluster is length, in millimeters. Final cluster is width, in millimeters.
If you have a Gates SKU, just convert it easily to Goodyear's numbering system. If you have a Gates belt of unknown SKU, measure the length and the width and the pitch, and the Goodyear number will be easy to specify.
