New Norgren Valve Island:
VM15 SERIES I
Norgren has extended its VM valve manifold family to include the new VM15. Following the success of the VM10, the VM15 expands Norgren's valve range to provide high performance, cost-effective and value-engineered solutions that are easy for maintenance customers to understand and use. They can also be configured to a wide range of situations. The VM-15 is even more advantageous as an OE application than as a replacement.
With an unsurpassed flow to size rate of Cv = 1.01 (1000 l/min) the new 15mm VM15 will continue to deliver equivalent to the high standards set with the 10mm VM10. The new VM15 allows customers to specify a cost-effective and compact valve manifold solution.
Prior to the introduction of the VM15, customers had to opt for more expensive, larger footprint valve solutions to match the higher flow rates which the VM15 can deliver. The VM15 makes a real difference in projects requiring cost savings and reduced installation space.
Installation times for the VM series are reduced thanks to the use of integrated push-in fittings. Should machine specifications change, the configuration can be changed rapidly via interchangeable valve types, and its modularity makes adding extra valves easy.
The VM series has compact design for projects with space limitations. Its high performance engineered polymer construction offers excellent strength and stability for harsh environments. The series is particularly well suited to applications requiring chemical wash down procedures.
Types of companies most likely to use the VM15 include: packaging paper and printing; materials handling; textiles; robotics; special purpose machines and the semiconductor / electronics industry.

VM is a range of high performance system valves offering over 15,000,000 possible configurations in either individually wired, multipole or fieldbus versions. It is manufactured from an engineering polyamide, which has exceptional properties. It is extremely robust and has excellent resistance to high temperatures. The material is a high performance polymer.
The Norgren VM15 offers:
- High resistance to thermal loads
- High resistance to chemicals even with prolonged contact
- High resistance to wash downs including 10% sodium hydroxide solution (food packaging sterilizing solution)
Low weight With the VM series customers can choose from DIN rail, through hole and sub base mounting options.
Valve manifolds can be configured from 4 to 16 stations with single or double solenoids and with a high number of possibilities for manual overrides and tube fitting sizes.
The VM15 has improved upon its design with new features like:
- Cartridge fittings for increased flexibility. Now have the ability to change your required fittings in the field.
- New endplates that incorporate through holes for easy mounting on your machine or panel.
- Brighter LEDs for easy identification of actuated solenoids
- New side position for the manual overrides for improved access to the manual overrides.
- Allows the manifold to be placed in small locations.
- Easy labeling of valve slices for quicker identification.
