JAX Air Line Oils: Preventive Medicine
When you have a compressed air system, there are many factors which can contribute to untimely problems with your motors, valves and other pneumatic equipment. To help prevent potential problems, use JAX. They have formulated air system lubricants that will help you reduce the instances of premature failure of components in your air system.
JAX does the job by providing air line lubricants with specific characteristics which maximize component life while minimizing operating problems. The highly refined white mineral oils and specific viscosity of JAX Magna-Plate 72 and JAX Magna-Plate 74 air line oils makes these lubricants ideal for all air driven equipment in a production facility, whether or not it is actually producing food products.
Recent discoveries have shown that air line systems can be incubators for bacteria in both food and non-food plants. Microbes in the air system can start to attack o-rings, seals and other components, increasing the failure rate of air system components. You can fight back with JAX.
By using their exclusive MICRONOX® anti-microbial additive system, which JAX has incorporated into its line of air system lubricants, you can control microbes in the oil. This helps to eliminate the numerous factors which may lead to the failure of air system components.
JAX Micronox® is an advanced food-grade antimicrobial agent that provides unsurpassed protection against potentially deadly bacterial contamination such as E. coli, Listeria and Salmonella. Independently engineered and field tested by JAX, Micronox® is a proprietary additive system that represents an advance that enhances antibacterial protection for lubricants.
JAX Magna-Plate 70 series lubricants are food-grade air line oils that have been compounded to provide the best air line lubrication performance in all areas of a plant. They contain a high percentage of emulsifiers, antiwear additives and rust inhibitors to provide trouble-free operation of all air-operated equipment. JAX Magna-Plate 74 and 72 are NSF H1 Registered for Food Plants.
JAX Magna-Plate 74 should be used on air systems with adequate mechanical drying mechanisms. The emulsification additives in this formulation will pick up and exhaust tramp moisture effectively. However, if the system is particularly wet, the emulsifier additives may become too water-laden, causing a heavier emulsion to be formed which may inhibit oil flow.
JAX Magna-Plate 72 can be used on all air systems. Systems that do not have mechanical drying systems should use JAX Magna-Plate 72. This will give them the anti-wear protection and characteristics of JAX Magna-Plate 74.
IBT stocks and carries JAX Magna-Plate 70 series lubricants in 1 gallon, 5 gallon, 16 gallon and 55 gallon containers for your use. If you would like more information on these JAX food grade air line additives, as well as the entire line of JAX lubricants please contact your local IBT salesperson, or e-mail us for more info.
