IBT Cooks
In Ethanol Marketplace

With oil prices exceeding $ 50.00 per barrel, the long-discussed need for alternative fuels is coming to a full boil. As a renewable resource, ethanol (CH3CH2OH) or grain alcohol, is an attractive additive to gasoline. Ethanol reduces a vehicle's dependence on petroleum and also bolsters the farm belt economy.

Ethanol is produced in distillery-like plants. The process involves grain, fermentation, then distillation to concentrate the alcohol. Making ethanol is not unlike the preparation of beverage alcohol, but there is less worry about taste and blending, naturally.

IBT has a number of ethanol producers within its trading area, and has long been a supplier to many of the leading producers. This year, the Company is intensifying its focus on the ethanol industry, and launching several initiatives designed to serve the marketplace more effectively.

IBT has launched a new website, www.ibtethanol.com. This website showcases the Company's full range of products and services that are needed for plant maintenance in alcohol production.

"IBT gives our customers a wide selection of the highest quality products from the leading manufacturers," Vice President Marketing Jerry Hayes reports. "This enables them to operate with the highest productivity and greatest energy efficiency. As a result, they are able to run their plants with lower maintenance costs and longer equipment life. At IBT Ethanol, we don't only know parts, we also know and understand our customers' entire production processes.

"Our customers find that we are especially skilled in preventing or resolving problems where production processes involve corrosives or abrasives, or fluids transporting solids, fibers and gases. When they require stainless steel or any other corrosion resistant material such as titanium, high nickel alloys, rubber-lined steel, or fiberglass, they can get what they need from IBT Ethanol."

IBT is experienced in compliance with all the major U.S. and international manufacturing standards, including ASME, UDT, TEMA, CODAP and Stoomwezen.

The Company also provides inspection, analysis, diagnosis and repair services, either as needed or as part of a predetermined service program through its IMT group and fully integrated supply chain management services through its ISG unit.

Since 2002, IBT has been in the safety business. They offer a complete collection of safety equipment as well as consulting and training services that give clients full OSHA compliance.

With its more than 55 years of experience in helping customers minimize downtown and maximize productivity, IBT promises: "We know what it takes to help you keep your plant cooking."
