IBT Safety was well represented on 21 April 2005 at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, during the Family Safety Stand Down Day, hosted by 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) aka The Night Stalkers.
Designed to be a fun-filled experience for the soldiers and their families, the event-filled day dramatized the importance of safety in all aspects of military life: on-the-job, in the field, on base and with the family, every day.
Greg Scott and Gary Porter from IBT Safety attended, as did their vendors North Safety and Miller Fall Protection of Sperian Protection, (formerly Bacou-Dalloz). IBT Safety also invited Schwan's - who supplied a truck with 2,000 ice cream treats to be enjoyed by the assembled crowd.
The unit is commended by Colonel Andrew N. Milani II. SFC Lance Hofmann, Regiment Safety NCO and CW4 Troy Boonstra, Regiment Safety Officer, coordinated the day.
"IBT Safety helped make the day into a huge success." Sergeant First Class Hofmann reports. "They outdid themselves: Their cooperation, the Miller Fall Safety Protection demonstrations, their generous donation of gifts, including a framed Brett Favre autographed, numbered framed lithograph (including trading cards) for the Families of Fallen Night Stalker fund raffle, went well beyond the call of duty. We are pleased and proud to be associated with them."
IBT Safety's Gary Porter returns the compliment: "Working with these brave soldiers is an honor," he notes. "Night Stalkers Don't Quit defines their professionalism, their attitude, their pride and their commitment. As American citizens, we are honored by their service to us all."
