For polyurethane covered belting (PU) and polyvinyl chloride belting (PVC) lightweight belting, IBT's main supplier is Universal Belting Resource (UBR). UBR combines depth of knowledge with depth of inventory, resulting in a full offering of belting products to fit most industry needs and applications.
UBR's diverse inventory is further enhanced by their capabilities to modify and fabricate belting products to meet just about any conceivable customer need.
Lightweight belting is infinitely customizable and UBR has the equipment and knowledge to produce finished belting that is job-ready.
They can install V-guides and a number of different accessories, like cleats and chevrons. They are attached with high frequency welding, a variety of adhesives and by heat.
UBR’s capabilities include PU, PVC and nylon core belting products.
UBR has a CNC hole cutting machine, which creates precise, repeatable patterns – in a wide range of sizes and in infinite number of configurations.
UBR’s PU belting has outstanding ply to ply and cover to ply adhesion. It is available from stock in slab widths up to 126 inches; which includes a non-fray product range. Production widths up to 176 inches are available by special order.
UBR’s Ultra-Release (UR) cover compound is a Urethane-Silicone blend that combines the performance characteristics of PU with Silicone’s release properties. Available in one and two ply constructions, it is also available in Spun Polyester construction. This product has the abrasion, oil resistance and durability of Urethane. It is a belt that tracks beautifully. Customers consider it ideal for conveying sticky materials such as cereal, nutrition bars and toffee.
When your belt edge requires protection from moisture, microbes and other including outside elements, UBR provides a belt that has had its edges sealed. Edge capping protects the belt, increases its service life and limits microbial growth. Edge capping provides a great return on a modest additional fabrication investment.
Another way to control microbes is with UBR’s Guardian belt, with an antimicrobial additive. This protects the belt from mold and fungus buildup. This belt is also available in a non-anti-microbial version at lower cost.
Mesh belting, up to two meters wide, is available from UBR’s inventory in 1, 2 and 4 mm apertures. UBR seals the mesh belt edges with a special Chlorine resistant edge and v-guide compound. UBR installs mechanical lacing, including spiral, on our fabricated mesh belting.
