The New Baldor • Dodge Motorized Torque-Arm II (MTA), a design based on the original Torque-Arm II product), offers the same performance and life the industry has come to expect from a leading brand.

The MTA is the only AGMA rated, C-face, right-angle, shaft mounted speed reducer in its class. Its heavy-duty rated design offers twice the bearing life versus the European DIN design practices. The MTA features premium HNBR oil seals with excluder seal technology that is combined with a standard filter breather for extra protection against external contaminants. Optional end covers for bushings offer an added measure of safety, and also aid in preventing dust and dirt from reaching the sealing system.

The unique straddle-mounted input pinion on the MTA gives maximum torque throughput with no overhung pinion shank. This also allows changing of the C-face adapter without opening the gearbox to contaminants. The reducer is designed to be used with Baldor•Dodge standard twin tapered bushings, short shaft bushings, tie rods, screw conveyor accessories, and an exclusive EP oil compatible backstop. This backstop gives you the peace of mind that your heavily loaded conveyor will not back drive regardless of the lubricant being used in your gearbox.

The product features an innovative compact flexible drive design, allowing the MTA to mount in multiple positions. A choice of 12 helical gear reduction ratios, 2 and 4 pole motor selection, and three case sizes allows the unit to deliver a wide range of speed reductions from 18:1 to 75:1 for class 2 applications from 3 HP to 75 HP.
