Improve productivity by optimizing the efficiency of your belt drives. Quickly get the right amount of tension without guessing or doing mathematical equations. Reduce maintenance and material costs over the long term and avoid over tensioning or under tensioning belts in your facility.

How to install Goodyear Engineered Products TensionRite:

  1. Place belt on the pulleys, positioning the belt with the smooth brand area in the middle of the span. Slowly tighten the belt, removing just enough slack so that the belt is not bowing across the spanned length.
  2. Clean the labeled area of your belt with alcohol and let it dry.
  3. Remove a TensionRite strip from its card.
  4. Remove the tabs on each end of the TensionRite strip,
  5. Apply TensionRite in the center of the belt next to the belt brand - right on the smooth area marked "Apply TensionRite here."
  6. Find the correct TensionRite setting for the type of belt you are installing. It's on the back of the card.
  7. Tighten the belt until the TensionRite setting you noted is displayed on the TensionRite strip.
  8. If a yellow mark appears on the left, the belt is over tensioned. Simply reduce the tension to the correct setting.
  9. Remove the TensionRite strip and resume operations.
