IBT founder F. L. Cloud frequently said: "We can do that." As he was building the company some sixty years ago, he and his associates came across numerous opportunities, some of which might have represented a stretch outside of the comfort zone or away from the familiar.
With his can-do attitude, he was able to establish new ways of doing business, new lines of merchandise to sell, new services to offer to buyers and new philosophies of taking care of associates, customers and suppliers.

IBT sales reps have enormous resources of products and services to offer customers, many that branch out significantly from the original bearings and power transmission concept.
In recent months, various IBT sales and marketing people have come across opportunities that have provided ways to be innovative and imaginative. These opportunities have resulted in contacts with customers that have proved to be mutually advantageous.
One area that has been strong is IBT's warehouse equipment line. There are very few businesses who can't take advantage of IBT's offerings. Products include lockers for employee use, floor safety and comfort matting and other ergonomic aids, a full line of office and plant furniture, work stations, racking, shelving as well as product storage and transport devices like tubs, totes, carts, bins.
"The thing is," says Maureen Parker, Application Specialist, IBT Warehouse Equipment Group, "there is a nearly endless list of items that we can provide for customer's facilities. If they are manufacturing, processing, storing or handling just about any kind of goods in just about any kind of way, we can help.
"Our greatest challenge is to remind busy people that IBT can help them improve their situation in a number of ways. We not only have great products, we have a whole staff of people who know when, where and how they should be used.
"So when customers deal with IBT," Parker continues, "they get our experienced people who know how to make sure that buyers get what they need to do the job properly, safely, efficiently and effectively. And we are competitive!"
