Basic smart maintenance dictates that you sample the oil or other fluids inside your operating equipment on a regular basis. JAX offers laboratory services for used oil analysis.
But basic maintenance doesn't always identify how to get fluids out of the machinery. And it isn't always easy. JAX, however, has stepped up to the plate to improve the situation markedly.
Introducing the Push Button Sampling Valve from JAX Xact Fluid Solutions: Developed for use on engines, hydraulics, transmissions, turbines, compressors and other pressurized systems, the Push Button Sampling Valve lets you tap hot, circulating, live oil samples directly from pressurized ports while the equipment is running up to 750 psi.
Utilizing a sampling valve reduces time spent taking samples. This method allows you avoid opening the system and exposing it to external contamination. The push button valve has a compact design. It offers a wide choice of threads and seals and it can easily be installed in minutes for most applications.
The JAX Push Button Sampling Valve gives you an easy way to take samples of oil or other fluids. It also eliminates the need for costly sample retakes and replacement probes and prevents cross-contaminated samples.
IBT's Product Group Manager for Bearings, Power Transmission and Gearing, Tim Zerger, is enthusiastic about this sampling valve. "This device makes tapping oil samples much easier. As a result, more people should use oil analysis and, therefore, have a better idea of what is happening inside their equipment.
"One thing to remember, however, any time you tap equipment for a sample, you have to make sure to top off the lube by the same amount you have just drawn. That way you can be sure that the right amount of lube stays where it is needed."
