We at IBT are proud to introduce an online catalog. This new online catalog provides account holders access to IBT’s most popular items and the ability to place orders online. To register for an account, please complete the Request Account form. After registering, you can gain access to the online catalog within one business day.

Our online catalog is a condensed version of the total lines available through IBT and is comprised of items from IBT’s General Industrial catalog, the most frequently purchased items from the past four years, and customer requested additions. If you cannot find a specific item, please let us know and it can be quickly added to the system.

The catalog offers a broad selection of suppliers, representing a majority of our key manufacturing partners. Some key manufacturers are SKF, Baldor Dodge Reliance, Timken, Martin Sprocket, MCR, North by Honeywell, Sperian, Georgia-Pacific, Dixon Valve, Drives USA Chain, Dow Corning, 3M, Goodyear Engineered Products, Isostatic Industries, Loctite, Sqwincher, and Schaefer Ventilation. (Please note this is only a partial list of manufacturers available in the online catalog.)

IBT's online store provides common ecommerce features, plus a few unique ones.

Customer Item Numbers

IBT's online store offers the ability to shop for items by your internal part numbers. You can search by your part numbers and the system displays your internal numbers, instead of IBT numbers. This feature makes it easier for you to do business with us. To have this feature enabled, please contact your local sales representative.

Customer Created Shopping List

Shopping lists make ordering online from IBT even easier. You can create as many lists as you need to store and categorize products you purchase frequently, making it easy to quickly re-order.

Dynamic Frequent Buy Shopping List

In addition to customer created shopping lists, IBT's online store creates a dynamic Frequent Buy shopping list. The system looks at your account history (online and offline), and populates a Frequent Buy shopping list with the items you have ordered most frequently from IBT.

This list is updated monthly, so as your buying patterns change, so does the list. In the shopping list menu, look for ‘Frequent Buys’ which always appears at or near the top of the menu.

Search Functionality

On IBT's online store, you can search a number of ways: keywords, manufacturer’s part number, IBT part number, purchase order number, IBT order number, or your internal part number (if you have activated this option). Every purchase order and order number is searchable – even if the order was not placed online.

If you search for a keyword, manufacturer’s part number, IBT part number, or an internal part number the system displays different brands and product categories where results were found to the left of the result list. In addition, you can refine your search by searching within your results.

If you search for a purchase order number or IBT order number, the system will return the orders where those values were used.

Order History

Order history will show you a line item detail of your purchase history with IBT (online & offline). Initially, this view shows you each line item you have purchased. You have ability to filter the history view between two time periods. In addition, you can click on the item to view additional information (e.g. quantity purchased per month, average purchase price).

Open Orders & Invoices

This feature gives you the ability to view the status of open and recently shipped orders. From this area, you have multiple options: you can copy an order, you can print the order, or you can email an order.

Pricing & Inventory

When you login to IBT's online store, you will receive the same price as you would if you contacted the local branch. In addition, you will see a location specific inventory position. By default, the system checks your local service center first, then the remaining IBT branches.

Order Pad

The order pad is designed for quick entry. If you have your part number loaded into the system or you know the IBT number, you can go directly to order pad. Instead of searching the system, the order pad will add the items directly into your shopping cart.

Punchout Integration

IBT's online is punchout enabled. This feature enables you to shop our online catalog through your eProcurement system. When you checkout using punchout, the part number, description, lead-time, manufacturer part number, and price are returned back into your eProcurement system. The current eProcurement systems that are enabled are Ariba, Infor, PeopleSoft and SAP.

Live Chat

We have integrated Live Chat into our online catalog. This feature gives you instant access to knowledgeable customer service representatives. Currently, Live Chat is available Monday through Friday, from 8 AM CST to 5 PM CST. You can find our Live Chat option by clicking on the Contact Us link near the top right of every page.

Customer Specific Catalogs

IBT has numerous online catalogs. The primary version is our Most Popular Items catalog. If you need a custom catalog, we can help! If you need your employees to only see a desired set of parts, then a custom catalog is the answer.
