Synopsis:

Air Force Base technicians found just what they needed from a metal cutting circular saw in the 9" Metal Devil from M. K. Morse.

Background:

In preparation for destruction, Air Force Base technicians use a 9" angle grinder to remove depleted uranium counterweights from transport planes before being sent to a scrap yard. The current grinder in use did not have sufficient depth to cut out a 3" deep aluminum support bracket required to remove the counterweights.

Challenge:

An M. K. Morse sales representative brought a 9" Metal Devil saw as a potential solution to meet their cutting requirements. It was apparent the product would have to overcome some skeptical preconceptions by the Air Force Base technicians. They graciously allowed him to demonstrate the saw in the application in question.

Solution:

After 20 minutes of getting into full PPE gear (Tyvek suit, respirator, gloves and fall protection) and being lifted 50 feet into the air, he was ready to cut. With the right Metal Devil saw for the job, the bracket cut took a lot less time than even getting into the proper gear. The cut was competed in record time compared to the current product the technicians were utilizing for the job.

Results:

The 9" Metal Devil cutting circular saw solved a huge problem for the Air Force Base technicians. The demo proved the Metal Devil addressed their specific cutting requirements and outperformed their existing saw. Metal Devil products provide sawing and cutting solutions that surprise even the skeptics!
