Airbus A380 over Hong Kong Harbour
Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner and Airbus’ A380 are the biggest news in the aviation world today. And, IBT Aerospace, through their longtime customer, B/E Aerospace, are both involved with these exciting aviation projects.

The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, four-engine airliner manufactured by the European consortium, Airbus. Their new super-double-decker jet, the A380, is largest passenger airliner in the world. The A380 made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney, operated by Singapore Airlines. The plane has been nicknamed “Superjumbo.”

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a mid-sized, wide-body, twin engine jet airliner that will carry between 210 and 330 passengers. It will be more fuel-efficient than earlier Boeing jets. The 787 will be the first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction.

Boeing featured its first 787 in a rollout ceremony on July 8, 2007 at its assembly factory in Everett, Washington, by which time it had become the fastest-selling wide body airliner in history with nearly 600 orders. Originally scheduled to enter service in May 2008, production has been delayed and it is currently scheduled to enter into service in early 2009.

B/E Aerospace Endura Beverage Maker
B/E Aerospace has been selected by four major global airlines to outfit their new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with next generation business and coach class seats.

The seating programs include supplying Continental Airlines, Air China, Japan Airlines and an undisclosed leading carrier in the Asia-Pacific region with new business class seats for their Boeing 787 aircraft. In addition, B/E Aerospace will provide new generation coach class seating for Continental Airlines on their Boeing 787 aircraft.

B/E Aerospace also expects to supply cabin interior products to the vast majority of airlines that have ordered the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. These cabin interior products include premium and economy class seating products as well as a wide variety of food preparation and storage equipment, including beverage makers, ovens, refrigeration and other related equipment for their new aircraft.

B/E Aerospace Passenger Oxygen System
B/E Aerospace is the sole supplier of passenger service units (PSU) for the Boeing 787. The PSU is an integrated aircraft system including passenger and crew oxygen, overhead reading lights, air gaspers, signage and related equipment.

Emirates Airline, the first airline to order the A380, has 45 A380s on order. They chose B/E Aerospace to design, manufacture and deliver international super first class cabins for the airline’s new fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft. Based in Dubai, Emirates is the flag carrier airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is one of the fastest growing and most profitable airlines in the world.

The Emirates First Class Suite is based on the comfort and conveniences of a premium hotel suite. The super-luxurious cabin is a revolutionary design that will allow first class international commercial passengers to discover the luxurious amenities and ambiance normally associated with head of state airlines and the business jet market.

B/E Aerospace also provides super first class products to Qantas for its A380 and provides the passenger oxygen system for that aircraft. Many airlines have selected their food preparation and storage equipment.
